Is there any way to get rid of the 'snow being kicked up bu the landing gear' effect that appears in FSX in the winter? If find it kind of unrealistic, and I'm sure it could save a few FPS. Here are some screenshots so you know what I am talking about.

You can delete the effects from the Effects folder in FSX.

…or you can delete your entire effects folder :)JUST A JOKE.Really...Never delete files.That's doing dentistry with a hammer.If you must, rename your file with a prefix like "ZZZ_".FSX won't find it and skip it.But there will be an internal error...FSX may just not report it to you.From the SDK, here's how the effect is likely assigned....It's an easy aircraft.cfg edit to remove such an effect.http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526949.aspx#mozTocId547795If the effect is not in aircraft.cfgThe effect may alternatively be assigned inside the model.In that case, replace the effect file with one you like or and empty effect like....fx_dummy.fx
