Advice needed with 580 drivers

Featured Replies

Morning guys,I hope someone can help me here.....I've recently installed the 285.62 drivers and the latest inspector with fps limiter locked at 30 fps and my framerates are all over the place jumping from 12-72 fps which is making fsx very unsmooth, never had this problem with previous driver (and i cant remember which one now damn it) and the external limiter, yes i know the saying "if it aint broke dont fix it" but curiosity and latest releases got the better of me.Is there a way to find out which driver i had before i installed 285.62 or can you guys offer me some other advice on this? All my specs are in sigThanks for your help.

Take a look in your main Nvidia folder on your C drive. There should be a sub folder "DisplayDriver". In there should be a listing of all the drivers you had installed.I think the 275.** drivers were very stable.

Thanks Joe,I reverted back to the 270 drivers and using the external limiter everything is back to normal, nice and smooth. I am tempted to try out the 290 beta driver but not sure at the moment.....im just glad all that stuttering has gone!

I've been running the 290 for a couple of weeks with no problems.
