Hello, i just read this and note than that desktop is similar to the one i'm gonna buy, it's the desktop i want...http://www.newegg.co...N82E16883227387So with this motherboard i'm not able to OC? can you explain why? i'm not an expert but i wanna buy a good desktop, because i wish to run fsx at decent 25 fps or at least fs9 at full.
Well I think you can overclock a little. The P67 and the Z68 are the only chipsets that allow for the fully unlocked CPUs that "K" versions have. You can put any cpu in but with these chipsets it lets you overclock more than what the others would allow.

Honestly if you were to buy that, you should just replace it with a Z68 or P67 board. The H61 is like the bottom of the tower in terms of amount of features. I might be wrong with the overclocking and you may not be able to overclock AT ALL. They are kind of screwing you with a "k" processor with a H61 board. Also if they are probably using the stock cooler which isn't great so that alone would limit your overclocking IF you COULD even overclock. You'd be better off watching a few videos on how to build a computer and build it yourself. My rig in my sig in my first computer and it was a blast to build.Just to add, the H61 boards are for essentially low budget low powered machines. They are basically putting a Prius engine with a Ferrari frame. Edited by thefsxflyer
