January 16, 201214 yr Flew into CYVR today and initially it was snowing with snow completely covering the ground. Then once it stopped snowing, I noticed the ground textures were changing back to normal. Then, it started snowing again and the ground textures started changing back to snow covered. It repeated this a few more times before I landed. 1st time seeing this. Anyone else seeing this issue? I running AS2012 in DWC mode. Richard Hardman
January 16, 201214 yr If the temperature is hovering right around 0*C you could get this. If it stops snowing and the temp is +1, then the snow on the ground will "melt". Then if it starts snowing again, that takes priority and you'll see snow on the ground.
January 17, 201214 yr Yea I saw that once from FL350 and it propigated in quilt like structures across the ground. But I seem to be the master of these quilt like structures seen on the ground and in the clouds. As well as the master of #$%^%$ up horizons that grow closer to the aircraft during reduced visibility. One day I will give up this OCD habbit I have and do something normal. No seriously now, this happens because of the temperature and snowing or not snowing. It is very rare but it is a native FSX thing. Marc Lynn
