CPU Re-seat?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,When under load, CORE 1 is about 55-60 and the rest of the cores are in the mid to high sixties. Is this normal or do I need to re-do my thermal compound and re-seat my waterblock?

If you are using Affinity Mask 14 and running without hyperthreading, then core 1 is working a lot less than the others. Mid sixties celcius under load on air is normal but water should be less than that shouldn't it?Kind regards,

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. I was running Prime95 with those temps, not within FSX... Woops haha

I don't know Ben because that seems a bit high for water. Your H100 should do better I would think. I run somewheres near there on Prime 95 with my air system, but then again it is really super well vented.Kind regards,

I have 2 low CFM fans for push config on my H100. As long as temps don't go above 70 for me, I am happy. The hottest temp after an hour of stress testing was 69 celcius.
Mine runs a little higher that than with an H70 under stress test, same ghz. Those numbers aren't that high under stress load. I wouldn't be concerned. What does it run when using FSX, Mine is upper 30 to mid 40c.
I am in the 30's and 40's within FSX. Otherwise on idle, I drop to the mid twenties.

If Torkermax has an H70 and gets those temps, then you are OK. I get pretty much the same with air, but did not expect it for I thought the closed loop water systems were cooler than that.Kind regards,

Do you have Noctua?

Everything looks normal to me too. Stephen's Megahalems is up there with the best air coolers and self contained water loops.I remember asking this same question in overclockers.com when I switched to Intel (I5 750). It happens to most Intel CPU's. No big deal

Thanks for the help! :)
