January 23, 201214 yr Hi,I recently bought X-plane 10. Although I'm pretty impressed by the simulation in general I'm having problems assigning my joysticks. I've got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick,CH flight pedals and a Saitek Pro Flight yoke including thrust levers. Now I'm trying to assign the Z-axis of the Logitech joystick to the nose wheel steering which XPX seems to think is a dumb idea. It just won't let me do it. Instead, interstingly, the z-axis operates the number 1 engine, at least in the 747. If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate any input.ThanksMatt
January 23, 201214 yr Try assigning the z axis to NOSEWHEEL TILLER. (caps for emphasis), You will findit near the bottom of the axis assinments, 6 up from the bottom. Donald E. Donovan Flying is the 2nd greatest thrill known to man The 1st is landing.
January 24, 201214 yr Actually this does work. I ssigned an axis to nose wheel tiller, and I can steer a C172 with it. i don't know about a taildragger though. Donald E. Donovan Flying is the 2nd greatest thrill known to man The 1st is landing.
