First time problems with LINDA

Featured Replies

Yesterday I received delivery of my VRinsight switch and toggle panel so decided to start tryning to get my head around LINDA. I have to admit it appears a lot more intuitive and easy than FSUIPC. Anyway, I deleted all the [buttons] values in the FSUIPC cfg that related to all of my aircraft. Then deleted what I thought was the right files from the FSX/Modules folder... but now I'm not sure. I started to have some problems with all the axis in FSUIPC, but now after much moving of files have got things working. So, all the axis works on all of my aircraft with none of the buttons. LINDA is installed and from what I can see is correctly installed. However, when I try to assign any button, whether on my Warthog, or on the VRinsight panel, although it shows in the LINDA CP nothing happens to the relevent assignment in the aircraft. I have tried it both with switches from the Warthog and also from the panel, but nothing... zilch... well, not absolutely true, I did find that after pressing a switch several times, after about ten seconds the landing gear extended and retracted. It was almost as if there was some conflict somewhere. Here is a pic of the modules folder. Can anyone offer some help, cheers, fellas...605linda.png

Hi Howard!I've read your description a number of times, but unfortunately I can't understand where the problem arises. :sad:Getting used to LINDA using the TT panel is a great introduction, since (with the notable exception of buttons C2 ... C5 that to Windoze look like a 4-way hat) you are simply dealing with buttons and switches (a switch being a button that latches "on" until you physically switch it off).If you look at your "usb pad" (which is the unflattering name that my W7 assigns to my TT panel) using the Windoze Devices and Printers dialog from the start orb, and then right-click and look at the properties, do the button numbers light up as you press them?If so, you ought to be able to assign them in LINDA?Cheers,Brian

Thanks for the reply Brian. It appears that the deletion of some of the files were not carried out correctly. In the end I reinstalled FSUIPC and all is now working well. Thanks again.
