January 30, 201214 yr ...is quite a lot, actually!Having bought the A2A cub this weekend, I have been messing with that. Doing spins, sitting up when brakes are on, messing with Heidi, etc.... I was having a great time, and PNW was actually loading well! As I was puttering along at 40 mph above Friday Harbor, I remembered my last purchase...the Aerosoft Katana 4X, when I bought that, I said to myself that this would be my slow plane, however, it was not slow enough, causing A2A fever...Anyway, I hopped into the 4X after a successful water landing in the cub(yes, I bought the plane up to the beach). As the VC loaded, I actually had to stop a think, whats a turn indicator again? After struggling to put down a notch of flaps, I got airborne and flew to Diamond Point...about 150 feet up, FSX gave me a 20 knot tailwind, completely messing up my landing, and causing me to go around...This is where I started seeing the differences that Accu-sim makes, I could just barely turn around for runway in the Katana, but I had room to spare when I tried it with a Cub, later...But at least I got on the ground with both planes, but where on the ground is a different story...Just wanted to share...
January 30, 201214 yr Thanks for the write up, Jackson. This goes to show you what a difference several gauges and 30kts airspeed can make! The cub is lovely, though.
