It seems that my options are not saving when i change them in the FMC. for instance, when i change the IRS align time to realistic from the default fast setting, the next time i fly the NGX the setting is back to Fast. is anyone else experiencing this, or is this normal? thanksadam

I _think_ it's part of your saved panel state; so save a panel state with the IRS on realistic and see if that works..I also think that these remebered setups are specific, and kept with, each different tail numbered plane ( that could be wrong though)
