I've just downloaded several checklists for 3-4 aircraft. My dilemma is how to incorporate them into the EFB interface as when I click on the zipped files, it shows up as *.xml files.

Hi Rick,If these are EFB checklists (as I'd suspect :( ), then you would go to EFB's System | Checklist Editor and from there you'd select the aircraft in question and then click "Import Checklists." If you have a checklist already active for your aircraft, you'll be warned that you'd be overwriting them.(If this isn't what you're asking, my bad and I'll try again.)

Thanks Travis. Got it figured.Previously when I selected the aircraft, everything below in the Import/Export box was greyed out. Got the hang of it now. All checklists for all PMDG+LDS aircraft successfully imported.BTW, what is 'Conditional' and 'Unconditional', and do I pick both pilots. A small tutorial from you here would be just the trick.

"Conditional" items allow for indented styling to make an If..(Do_This) structure apparent, versus "unconditional" which display all items 'flush left."

And yeah, they're typically used for Abnormal checklists, not pre-flight tomfoolery. As for a tutorial... gee, I usually start by copying r/w lists and modifying them for the level of detail needed in the a/c I'll be flying in. (There's some great ones in the Library here that are already FSX'ed.) Some of my EFB lists are moreso high-level procedure lists than actual checklist lists. As to which term -- pilot, captain, etc. -- to choose for which item... well that's up to the airline or procedure you're looking to follow. Typically we're all PFs, and we may have a buddy (or spouse) act as PNF if we're lucky. But some airlines use Captain / FO terms. (To each their own!) My FS Captain FO or my Multi Crew Experience PNF both perform various actions in each flight, so I will note "who does what" in that styling when it comes to that.I do keep actual checklists in my EFB though... made to match my Multi Crew Experience verbal checklists - I've grown to rely on the feedback from those so much that I can't wait for EFB 2's "aware checklists" - checklists that are so smart if the active item is "Parking Brakes.....Released" it will mark the item as checked once your brakes are released.I like new features. :(

Thanks, once again, Travis for your in-depth reply. May come back to you at a later stage when I've played around with my checklists.
