Using FS2000 scenery in FS2004?

Featured Replies

I'm having difficulty finding small airports around the UK and Ireland for FS2004. I've noticed a product called Great Britain and Ireland scenery, but it says it's designed for FS2000.I was wondering if the scenery would work in FS2004 anyway. I do have some scenery from the older sims installed and it seems to work fine.If any one would have an idea or has any first hand knowledge I would be grateful.Thanks-Phil

Much of the FS2000 scenery was compressed but FS2000 was able to process compressed/uncompressed scenery. Third party scenery developers may/may not have compressed their scenery files. It may be that FS2004 can read both. Try adding the scenery using separate folders in the FS2004Scenery folder, add the scenery through the Scenery Library, and see if it works. If not, delete the scenery throught the Scenery Library and delete the folders you placed the scenery.W. Sieffert
