Sometimes the ATC gives me this message 'Clearence void 30 minutes from now'. What does it mean? Once I get the message that I have exceeded this time when I got close to my destination and my IFR plan was canceled. What am I supposed to do in such case?

FS9 will sense this automatically for you when you bring up the ATC window immediatly after takeoff. In your case you failed to contact the controller after takeoff.
