Topic to sing the praises of PMDG. I've had the J41 for awhile but wasn't able to use it because of my system.I held onto it know that in the future I would build the system I wanted. Well that day has arrived and I'm glad I bought this a couple years ago.First few tries to fly this were terrible. Not on any part of the a/c. All me.Then I made the time to read completely thru the turorial flight and then sit down and use it as a guide. I was able to get off the ground with minimal problems.I reviewed my mistakes and made a minor change to my CH throttle Quad to overcome the config error on starting my takeoff roll. The second flight was hands down better than the first and very enjoyable. Takeoff, climbout and enroute climb were right on the numbers. Now between the J41 and the NGX I'm not sure anything else in the hangar will get many hours in the future. Many thanks to the PMDG team for your effort and such great products. Been a long time fan. Will be for a long time.

Steve, I have to agree with you.I have been flying flight sims since 'Aviator' on the BBC B (if anyone can remember that), but if I want that feel good factor I will climb into the flight deck of the JS41 with FS2Crew. If you havn't got FS2crew for this aeroplane I strongly recommend you get it, its the nearest experience you will have on the PC to flying a real aircraft. If there was such a thing as awards for services to flight simulation then the Oscars should go jointly to the PMDG team and Bryan York (FS2crew developer), followed a close second by Peter Dowson (FSUIPC).Glen

I do have FS2Crew. Just got it and tried to learn to fly both the plane and with FS2Crew. Decided to remove it until I can make several flights without it. Have to learn the flows and the personality of the J41. I'm starting to really understand. having many hours on the Beech 1900 D I understand turboprop operation. For the J41 I want to always start cold n dark.I would say they should all be tied for first. the combination of all of these products together make this a truely enjoyable experience. I got my PPL back in 96 and flew for a couple years until life, family decided I needed to focus else where. I have not lost the passion for flight just the money.I hope by the end of next week that I'll start using FS2Crew and send it to the next level.

Great thing about FS2Crew thats the very first thing it does when you start the timer.I have put the checklist / sequence of events in a Powerpoint presentation which I play on a laptop, so for each stage of the flight i.e. Initial Flow, setting up the FMS, Startup etc. I just have to press the laptops down arrow which selects the next Checklist or Flow. This gives you more time to appreciate flying this fantastic aircraft, its great as it is but just imagine if PMDG had gone just that little extra mile and made it s study sim like the NGX :smile:Glen
