VOXATC sends random Windows commands

Featured Replies

I downloaded and am trying the trial version of VOXATC. It took a little doing to get it setup but I think everything is as it should be except for one problem. When I am speaking VOXATC commands it appears that random windows commands are executing as well. The FSX screen minimizes or a pull down menu opens up. Sometimes I get a Window indicating a totally different program is being asked to startup, plus a host of other things all appearing to be windows commands.Since Windows Speech Recognition is intended to allow Windows to be controlled by voice command it makes sense that this would interfere with VOXATC unless there is a way to prevent Speech Recognition from sending Windows commands. But this doesn't seem to be the case, I get both VOXATC commands executing and Windows commands executing.Anyone know of a fix? Thanks.

Hi.When running VoxATC, please ensure you don't have 'Speech Recognition' running as it's not necessary. Just make sure you have it set to 'US English' and the audio input to your microphone (which it sounds like you have). Don't start 'Speech Recognition' as this will cause the conflicts you're seeing. VoxATC will interact with the speech recognition program on it's own, to test this use VoxATC's 'Flight Plan Trainer' program and select 'General Training'.I hope this helps.Chris
