Craig, As far as I'm aware, VoxATC will spawn traffic in proportion to what the slider is set at. The same is true of the default FSX slider (but the two aren't related). You must also realise that depending on the Traffic Addon that you are using that the flight plans will loop around. For a small airport you want to have your slider setting <50%. For me Manchester looks about right at 40%.

Vaughan, I'm not sure about the US, but in the UK it is quite common for either ATC to grant a DIR TO or for pilots to request it as a short cut in quieter times. Currently VoxATC doesn't support such a request.

No, as the DX10 Scenery Fixer is a 32bit program, so it goes in the x86 folder on a 64bit machine.

Alan. Yes, easy to install and uninstall. The tool makes backups of files it modifies. Also, it makes it easy to switch between Dx10 and 9.

Great! Any similar occurrences with Aerosoft sceneries do remember to look for a similar tool. I've missed many in the past myself.

Indeed, the Rain and Water options were greyed out as I did have the previous rain fix and a custom water shader. However, when I restored the original rain and water files and then selected them in the Fixer tool config I didn't see the rain and water files get updated/replaced in the ShadersHLSL folder. So, now I'm pondering if I'm using stock files or not (though I don't have the umbrella effect), so perhaps not.

I've never used it and certainly doesn't appear to be a need to use it with the Fixer, as things appear to fix themselves.

Well, Shade works in DX10 and has no performance impact, so it's really user preference. I still use it.

You don't need to uninstall the free patches before installing the DX10 fixer tool.

Those settings are in the Nvidia Inspector and SGSS is definitely doing something by setting it in there (I've tried without and it's shimmer city!). As far as I understand it, setting AA in the DX10 fixer adds a couple of necessary entries to the fsx.cfg. You still need to check AA and Antistropic filtering in FSX.

Is that the Aerosoft PANC? If so, have you looked for a tool in the scenery folder? It will allow you to enable DX10 mode for AES-Lite.

I have my AA at 8S and I use SGSS at 8x to remove the shimmers. For me, it has been well worth the cost. Numerous 3rd party sceneries now work day and night.

Unfortunately, VoxATC doesn't use any terrain elevation data, so approaching airports surrounded by mountains can lead to trouble. If you look in the VoxATC folder you will find a tool called 'Flight Plan Extras'. With this tool you can select the option 'No Vectors to Approach'. This helps resolve the issue as you'll either be directed to a fix or left to fly the procedure as published in the charts.

I have never been presented with the option to tune the ATIS arrival either, however, if you know the frequency there is nothing to stop you entering it and VoxATC will read the report.

Hi. I have encountered this problem before, but it has been rare so far with v6.16. The developer is aware of the issue and hopes to get the fix into the next update. In the meantime I quote his solution below: "a workaraound for the moment is to disable VoxATC after you have contacted the center controller and then enable it again, contact center and continue the flight." I hope that is of some help to you.

VoxATC now obeys the parking assignments in the AFCAD and has done for some time. The latest version is 6.16, and the latest ground handling improvements are impressive.

I can highly recommend VoxATC, I've been using it for years.

Are you certain that the atc_parking_codes is completed in the aircraft.cfg for the aircraft you are flying and that you ran the indexer after installing 6.16?

Did you load the Lancair before pressing 'Fly Now' in FSX?

When the VoxATC window is open and you've been given your approach you should be able to press '0' and go through a list of options, one of which, should be to select 'Full Procedure' for the approach you've been given. In most cases this should resolve the issue.
