Yeah, but if you think about it, 5.1 means you're routing sound to 5 speakers and a sub. 3 of those speakers not being present, the computer is routing sound to speakers that don't exist, so you get "no sound" even though the instruction and sound are actually "there." Kind of one of those "if a tree falls in the forest but nobody is there, does it make a sound?" ...things. Kyle Rodgers
