February 13, 201214 yr Hi all, I have been hunting for an answer to the following for a while; can't find one so thought I might ask here. As the title suggests I am using the default 737-800 in my home built cockpit along with Project Magenta software for my instrumentation etc. Some time ago P.M. provided me with a new aircraft.cfg which means that upon start up I don't see anything infront of me except the airport scenery where I happen to be. This simply avoids having to press W, W, to clear the inside of cockpit, it also gives me a couple more frames which is why it's good to use. Now, here's the problem. If you have a look at the 737-800 cockpit, you will see there is a clock on the left hand side (pilot). I have this clock replecated within my cockpit; part of the P.M. software. However, I have the second hand ticking away as soon as Sim. starts up, but because I don't actually have this instrument infront of me on screen am unable to press on the CHR button (normally with mouse - little hand) to start the lower window clock that actually times the flight, or can be used to time in a holding pattern.I am looking for a key combination that might start this clock, and maybe it simply isn't possible. I have asked P.M. this question, but nothing coming back, which does suggest it isn't possible. I have by the way tried my FSUIPC (registered) to assign a key combination, but no luck there either. This is not a big deal for me, but I just like every part of the Sim. working! Many thanks.
February 13, 201214 yr Did they give you an altered aircraft.cfg or a panel.cfg? I'm asking because the stuff with the gauges is defined in the panel.cfg.The clock is in[Window Titles]window00=Main Panel [Window00]file_1024=737-800_panel_background.bmpfile_1024_night=737-800_panel_background_night.bmpsize_mm=1024position=7visible=1ident=MAIN_PANELgauge00=B737_800!pfd_screen, 189,548gauge01=B737_800!pfd, 210,567,179,179gauge02=B737_800!mfd_screen, 409,548gauge03=B737_800!mfd, 430,567,179,179gauge04=B737_800!eicas_screen, 740,548gauge05=B737_800!eicas, 760,565,179,179gauge06=B737_800!compass, 839, 39gauge07=B737_800!autopilot, 561,330gauge08=B737_800!knob_1, 329,501gauge09=B737_800!knob_2, 390,501gauge10=B737_800!knob_3, 830,480gauge11=B737_800!clock, 77,570gauge12=B737_800!attitude_backup, 630,444gauge13=B737_800!adf_vor_backup, 630,662gauge14=B737_800!alti_and_asi_backup, 631,555gauge15=B737_800!gear_lever, 959,524gauge16=B737_800!annunciator_below_glideslope, 214,517gauge17=B737_800!annunciator_le_flaps, 854,516gauge18=B737_800!annunciator_speed_brake_armed, 516,516gauge19=B737_800!annunciator_auto_brake_disarm, 823,441gauge20=B737_800!annunciator_anti_skid_inop, 812,517gauge21=B737_800!efis_control_panel, 416,344gauge22=B737_800!flap_indicator, 892,452gauge23=B737_800!annunciator_panel_1, 267,361gauge24=B737_800!annunciator_panel_gear, 958,454gauge25=B737_800!Knob_N1_Set, 755,454gauge26=SimIcons1024!ECU Icon, 433, 448gauge27=SimIcons1024!Overhead Icon, 455, 448gauge28=SimIcons1024!Kneeboard Icon, 477, 448gauge29=SimIcons1024!ATC Icon, 499, 448gauge30=SimIcons1024!Map Icon, 521, 448gauge31=SimIcons1024!GPS Icon, 543, 448gauge32=SimIcons1024!Radio Icon, 565, 448gauge33=SimIcons1024!Other Controls Icon, 587, 448gauge34=n_number_plaque!n_number_plaque, 95,731,67,19 Maybe you can alter that window to just show the clock. The default shortcut then is Shift-1, but you can assign another one of course, even some button.That's thegauge11=B737_800!clock, 77,570line.
