Which of my hardware can be causing all these little stutters and lags?

Well then, just get the CL7/1600 and GTX580 and you will have the best it can get. Even more, OC your CPU to 4.8, or even 5.0 if able and then there is going to be no reason on the hardware side.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to get it much higher than this. When I overclock to 4.8, I would at least need around 1.45V. Don't you think this is gonna shorten the lifespan of my CPU a lot?

With this question, you are barking against the wrong tree. I'm running 1.54 for 5.0 here and don't really care...What anyone thinks is actually completely secondary. The question is: are you ready to drop the money for the 2nd CPU, or at least the Intel Warranty if this one dies? I am...
