FS2004 Realism

Featured Replies

I am wondering if there is a way to increase realism in FS2004 (yes, I know it is already "as real as it gets").For example, are there programs that can simulate wear and tear on engines, tires, etc.? I know there are some addons, such as the Dornier Do27, and even FSD's products, but can these things be simulated for other addon planes? I am thinking of "AccuSim" from A2A for example.Thanks.

One of the most interesting features of FSPassengers is the ability to add "random" equipment failures. You might check it out . . . http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=homeI know there are other add-ons out there that do this, but I can't think of the names at this moment. I'll repost as they come to me.

Yep, fspassenegers does a really good job at doing just that, you can set for example 1% chance of failures, or 5% chance of failures, Makes you keep an eye out on the oil pressure, and also keep an eye out on your fuel usage cause you may just have a leak that you dont know about, or make sure you confirm you have three green on the landing gear, or beware of them birdstrikes, or you could be cruising along in cruise at level 320, and get a decompression of the aircraft etc. etc.!!!!Makes you really keep an eye out, and you really need to have your emergency checklist handy, just in case.Dont land too hard either, or you will collapse the gear, and keep up on the maintenance scheduale of your craft or things start to go "bump in the night" Nail%20Biting.gif

well said.fs2crew and fspax, those what you need to get the realism.I wonder why they stop developing some aspects from what they have successfully created ? they have a good reputation, if they release a new fspax version with some revolutionary features...
