February 20, 201214 yr Hi guys. I am Vladimir from Serbia and Montenegro.I think that it would be great if real world pilots can help us.Carenado makes visually great airplanes, absolutely gorgeus. But, we desktop pilots, no offense, cannot determine if flight dynamics of particular plane is accurate or wrong. I noticed that for c185 bush version, some good guy that is real world pilot posted air and cfg files that are accurately from his perspective.I think that RW pilots CAN help us a lot. Flight performance of any Carenado plane during CLIMB,CRUISE FLIGHT,DESEND are the most simple but important consideration that flight dynamics creator must satisfy. Not to mention some unusual, much less common maneuvers such as side slipping, adverse yaw of a plane, ground handling etc.I know that AVSIM forum has meny real world pilots that fly Carenado planes. It woult be great to hear fligth impressions and observations of a particular plane that can help us to make realistic flights in general aviation planes.

February 20, 201214 yr Well, you have the impressions of the 185. They are extremely accurate insofar as a simulation goes. But as Barnstormer says, you can only go so far in any simulation. You are still missing the feeling of the aircraft in flight. You can mimic that to a certain degree by how responsive the airplane is through the controls, and Bernt got that extremely well. The 185 is a heavy yet lively handling airplane, very solid and a good performer. It's very different to a Beaver, for example, in that the Beaver feels very light on the controls, yet is a much heavier machine weight-wise.Hope that helps.
