  1. IMO the REX E weather engine is lacking features. as usual, way more hype than results. The having to run the whole app on a client computer is not well thought out either. Textures? I see very little difference. perhaps more layers. Im going back to REX 2.0 OD and ASE for weather engine running on my client computer for FSX. I may stick with REX E for Prepar3D, just cause I paid for the P3D license.
  2. Use guys need to get together with the 301 is much better forum and have a wrestling match :)
  3. Then your in the wrong forum. I would prefer to take advice from those with experience with the P3D. There are differences. Backing up and changing can still get you in trouble and its not worth the risk.
  4. That is why I have been holding out on this tweak.
  5. Go from Appr to LNav button on the MCU.
  6. Its free if you own REX 2.0. Try it. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/375251-rex-essential/
  7. Tim. which thread is that? Thank you
  8. LOL. Other thread states how great it is:) Truth Known, Probably no difference from driver from 2yrs ago for FSX other than Vsync.,.
  9. Ya. Those are FS2004 flight plans FS9.1. FSX/Prepar3D requires XML. AppVersion=9.1.40901
  10. Use the internal Frame Rate limiter! I find it works as well if not better as an external limiter and far less hassle..
  11. Heard that 7 days 14 hrs 5min ago :) Their going to release it on Memorial Day?

  13. Nice you could be here with us Jack C. I'm in my 10th step :) I'm a rummy dummy never learn also! :) But I'll make their lifes miserable for a while, just for satisfaction.
  14. LOL. We could could only wish for FSX Jim. many of them "Modern" games are coded Faaaar different.
  15. i always thought those claims were for specific games and FSX isnt one of them?
  16. Umm. Mine are running dual with A2B2 and a Corsair H80. MB P67 may be the diff.
  17. I would still go with a I5 2500K, 560 or 70 VC and 8 g mem. I just laid FS9 to rest after 8 or so yrs. Now P3D and FSX exclusive. Thought it was time to bid an old friend farewell.
  18. Would look like a monkey flinging its arms in cockpit full of Monkey bars :)
  19. Have you programmed any routes in the FMC? If you used Paypal, file a claim with them. i did and shook Wilcanot all up! Try entering a route with procedues in the FMC then try changing waypoint speed and crossing altitudes according to the published charts? Then try finding the RWY procedures! :)
  20. I Isnt that what I mentioned in a way more simple fashion, assumed someone would way over complicate this :)
  21. Just out of curiosity. Have you tried accessing the addon menu, from the menus bar, for UT2 during flight? The reason I ask because I would get a menus.dll error on occasion when doing so. So I classified it as kinda works.
  22. Many people do it. I have , or use to have, FS9, FSX and Prepar3D and OS on 4 separate 180g Raptor HDD's. I recently retired FS9. This has worked excellent for me over the yrs. It is a dedicated Flight Simulator computer with only the listed and associated programs installed and running in a network config. No Antivirus, browser etc on flight computer.
  23. Blowing hot air to cool just doesnt work. Seriously I keep my computer room between 69 and 72 yr around, live in the northern climates. I have NZXT which monitors temps and sounds alarms if case temp or ambient temps get too high
