  1. I have been using Voxatcx 6.06 in P3D for sometime , it seem to be running well. For reasons other than Voxatc I now have to reload it and keep geting "error 1001". Not being very knowledgeable with softeware, I would appreciate any help. My setup is windows 7, 64 bit. Dave
  2. Hi guys Thanks for your help. As I don't want to spend $500 plus I think I will stay with the CH yoke , throttle, pedals etc. Thanks again Dave
  3. I have now made the commitment to P3D and I am having great results, ( my thanks to Lockheed Martin). Regretably my trusty CH Yoke controller after many tears of use , is in need of replacement. I would love to hear what controllers other P3D pilots use ? Most of my flying is "low and slow" bush type scenery Orbx atc. I have Win.7 64 bit on a mid to upperend system and P3D ver. 1,4 I am looking for something that does not take a software expert to install and tune ( calibrate). Any reccomendations or comments would be gratefully appreciated. Dave
  4. Hi guys, I have used Voxatc in FSX for a while and generally very happy with it. I am changeing over to P3D and have just reloaded it. It seems to perform well , with one exception. I put the initial vox panel in the default Baron 58. When I change aircraft fom the Mooney, it shows the installed panel in the Baron and connects as it should, the problem is ATC refers to the baron as "Mooney." It really is flustrating as evrthing else is great. Voxatc install is version 6.06 from a CD. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Dave
  5. I have just done a complete reinstall of my FSX/P3D software. Everything went well except that Vox keeps telling me my registration # is not valid. Any help would be appreciated. Dave Palmer
  6. Thanks for the prompt responses. I'll look through Koastas tweaks . I have the Nvida GTX 360 so the gpu tweaks will also be applicable. One of the things mentioned is windowed or full screen modes. I have been brought up with windowed mode but will try Full screen. Regarding the system, I feel that P3D is inherently "smoother than FSX which is one of the reasons I changed over. Thanks again. Dave
  7. Hi guys, I am trying to get the external limiter FPS_limiter_0.2 working with P3D. I have the academic license and been running for a bout 10 days now. I went through the tweaks using Bojotes setup. The updates woked great, the only exception being FPS limiter. I get to the point were you are supposed to create the bat. file and it stops there. Can any one that has used this program tell me what exe. file they used to get the new bat file . I get the Prepar3d exe showing in the gui part of the software but it shows in "light" grey and the program stops runing at this point. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Incidently the other addons that I have downloaded have gone in and are running well. Thanks David
  8. Hi Brett Just signed up. Looking forward to getting into it. Dave
  9. Hi Brett It looks interesting. I know and like the area and aircraft but d on't know Fs Airlines. I'll get intouch after checking them out. By the way are you the Brett Lee that operated a VA with missions out of a small airport , something Locks?? in Conn. I believe. Dave
  10. New and Exciting for flight simulator enthusiasts We fly the charter world with the PHENOM aircraft by Embraer. Modelled after the real world "FlairJet",a very successful charter operation, we Flairjet Virtual, follow their destinations in the aircraft they use. We get great support from them in what we do and how we do it. As a virtual airline we are a small group of enthusiasts that like to fly, we take an interest in our pilots as people not "numbers" and support them with a modern Web page , the best flight logging/reporting system available (VAFS) and inhouse expertise to help were you need it. We have for example, ATC, training from people with real world experience.. If you want to fly VLJ charters in Europe , if you like planning your own routes, if you like setting your own timetable, if you don't like doing pireps and such, look no further, Flairjet Virtual is the place to be. website link; http://flair-jetvirtual.com or contact HR direct : [email protected]
  11. Thanks for the responses. It seems that every one is generally in agreement.I saw the piece about altering the the XML file for less sensitivity (Increaseing the null zone) my question is simple " How do I do that". I found the file and the sections in the file but it won,t let me change the values? I am sure there has to bve many compter dummies like me that need a step by step approach to makeing these changes.Anyway thans again.Dave
  12. Hi guysJust started to get into "flight" , therefore the jury is still out . I am trying to value you it on its own merits, not as a comparison with FSX.Fist major point is the ability to adjust the varous controller responses. I use a simple logitech joystick but the reaction from cotroller is so violent it makes it almost unflyable, some sort of contoll settings really do need to be done quickly as I am sure that any user without flightsim experience will be putoff immediatly. I did see the section in the write up, about adjusting the XML code. I am not a software person , these settings , null zones, elevator axis etc , needs to be done from the controller settings in the game.Second point, and this is more personal, I don't want to be forced into a mission type mode before I am allowed to go "free flight " for example. i like the missions but I don't like the obligation, please give us an easy way to choose to do the missions or not. If it is already there and I am just missing it cansome tell me how to do it.In summary I like flight I just hope that having put the thing on the market MS keeps the pressure on to update the sftware.Good job guys.
  13. Hi guysCan some tell me were I find "Open VASettings.xml"I have the latest version VoxATC 6.05ThanksDave
  14. Hi GuysI have been cleaning up my FSX . This included removing add ons and such that I have never used and then completely removing and reinstalling FSX ( with SP1 and SP2) and rel;oading the UT files I have and some aircraft. It really has made a difference in perfomance and I am glad I took the few days to do it.My only problem is that I cannot get my CH Yoke config to save in the system. It works great when I do load it, but as soon as I switch off the computer and restart I have to reprogram the yoke controls. I have looked at all the obvious things like making sure that all the config files are not read only and that I make any changes as administrator but nothing seems to work. I have also searched the internet to no avail. My FS9 which is on the same computer has no problem in this respect. Also the Yoke performed as required prior to the unistall and reinstall.Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. My system is dual core, Win 7 64 bit Thanks Geezerman
  15. Had it for a few months now, wouldn't fly without it. Couple it with IYP and its getting pretty close to the real thing. The only problems I have are "no taxi instructions" and waiting for RC 5One of the best add ons for FSX and FS2004.Dave Palmer
