February 22, 201214 yr Hello,I downloaded the three files for FLY2 sceneries(TM21_256, BIEBERALL.POD, STEVES MODELS) and I don't know where to put them.Need some help.Thanks,Thomas.G'day Thomas,It's always a pleasure to see new people coming to the forum. Welcome to the Fly! II forum. The files:TM21_256.PODBiberall.PODcan both be placed in the Fly2sceneryshared folder. You may have to create a shared folder if you don't already have a shared folder. All downloads from the library should have a readme.txt file that you can open with either notepad or wordpad with instructions on how to install the files into Fly! II.EDIT: Just took a quick look in the library. The following is an extract from the "readme first.txt" file accompanying the Biberall zipfile which contains two files to be placed into Fly! II.To install:Extract the zip file into a temporary folder. Then, place biberall.pod into scenery/shared folder of fly2,place biberall.mlf into data folder of fly2Check the readme.txt files in the downloaded zipfiles of Tm21_256 and Stevesmodels for installation of those files.Get back to the forum if you still have any problems. February 23, 201214 yr Thanks!you're saying that I need To create folder called "FLY2", but where to place this folder? In the addon scenery?Thomas. No Thomas, I'm sorry I confused you with "Fly2". Fly2 is a referrence to the root folder The official name of the sim is Fly! II but colloqually some people sometime just refer to it as Fly2.In any case what you have to do is simply make a new folder (named SHARED) under the SCENERY folder that is already there in your installation of the sim.If you used the default paths for installing Fly! II then the following shows where the ROOT folder ( named Fly! II ) for the sim is located.C:\program files\terminal reality\Fly! IIunder this root folder you will see about 36 folders. eg. to name just a fewC:\..\..\Fly! II\adventuresC:\..\..\Fly! II\aircraftC:\..\..\Fly! II\art (you may not have this folder)C:\..\..\Fly! II\dataC:\..\..\Fly! II\scenery ( this is the folder in which you must create a new folder (named SHARED and place your downloaded pods in.)Eg. C:\program files\terminal reality\Fly! II\scenery\sharedHope I haven't confused you too much - sorryGet back to the forum if you still have any questions. February 24, 201214 yr So, Fly! - It's simulator?not scenery addon? Thanks.Yes Thomas, Terminal Reality created 3 flight simulator programsFly! Fly!2KFly! IIThe three downloads you initally mentioned are add-ons for Fly! IIThere is no such flight simulator as Fly2 or Fly!2. Wherever you may see these used they are meaning Fly! II simulator.By the way have you patched your installation of Fly! II up to the final patch 2.50.240If you haven't already go to topic "first time Flyers please read". Clicking on the link below will take you there.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/84825-first-time-flyers-please-read/ Edited February 24, 201214 yr by Roger Mazengarb Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
April 10, 201214 yr And if I recall, the patches are no longer in the library, although we have attempted to get them back in. If you are using the US version of the simulator, I can provide the patch files required to bring you up to the last version of the patch. Just IM me here in the forum and I will be happy to assist.
