PMDG 747 shared cockpit

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,If you do vatsim you should know by now that vatsim is having a cross the pond event. So at my VA I found a friend who wants to do a shared cockpit flight at that event. He doesn`t have the PMDG 747 and my concern is that would the shared cockpit put some extra work loads on my computer? If so for me it may not be a great idea (see my other topic regarding that here and please do help with suggestions,http://forum.avsim.net/topic/361883-windows-7-64bitpayware-add-on-vatsimfreezing-then-crashing-then-restarting/Cheers and if you are going to that event I hope to see you there :D

If your friend doesn't have the 747, how do you intend on sharing? Also note, the 747 does not play nice with a shared cockpit, lots of animations and commands (primarily the FMC) do not sync between computers.I suppose if you got a VNC running so you shared your computer screen with him, that might work, but at a huge frame loss on his end. Most VNCs also don't transmit audio, so he couldn't talk or receive comms.

In most payware aircrafts, there isn't a feature to share the cockpit unless someone comes up with a solution to be able to share the FMC also then sharing a cockpit in a payware would work
