Selecting a plane in the lessons

Featured Replies

I tried to select the Realair Cessna in the flying lessons. In the solo enter holding lessons this was possible for the direct and parallel holdingpatterns, but not in the teardrop or any other lessons (IFR). In these cases 'select plane' is grayed out.Why is this possible in two lessons but no other?

Look through the *.flt files for differences in setup. One thing I did notice with the Solo-Inst-Holding-Teardrop.FLT in the [Options] section was:[Options]VirtualCopilot=0Titles=FalseSound=TruePause=FalseAxisIndicator=OffATC=FalseMoonlight=TrueSimSpeed=001.00ShowStars=TrueApproachLights=TrueFlightDisplay=Coordinates -- all others had Off vice CoordinatesSlewDisplay=CoordinatesI think this is just a typo and not related to your problem.W. Are you selecting the RealAir Cessna from the command bar in flightsim or, as Mr. Sieffert has shown, by altering the .flt file?I tried using the RealAir Cessna in the private lessons by modifying the .flt file, but found it was really unstable whenever "Rod" took the controls.I've been meaning to try using an F16 for my checkride.BlairCYOW

Answer: from the command bar in flightsim, and I do have to make adjustments in trim after the change to realair

You can start a lesson with the RealAir Cessna (or any other plan you wish) by editing the .flt file (the one with the airplane icon) in the lessons folder of fs9.Open it with notepad and change this line:[Plane.0]Aircraft=Cessna Skyhawk 172SPto this[Plane.0]Aircraft=Cessna Skyhawk 172SP Kangan Batman TAFE by RealAir SimulationsBe sure to back up the original firstBlair
