February 25, 201214 yr Hey everyone,Have been using Radar Contact for about a week nowAll is great, got it configured the way I like, and am having a good time finally communicating with ATCNow for a few quick questions;1) What is everyones procedure for loading everything in?I run REX which loads automatically, Radar Contact, FSX, and a few other self loading addons.Usually I click FSX to load, and click Radar Contact to load as well.Once FSX is up, I will create or load a flight plan, and then do the same in Radar Contact. The problem now lies in... I like to run FSX fullscreen (better fps, allows use of my 2nd monitor for gauges)But if I load FSX before hitting 'Start Radar Contact" like in the manual, I then have to alt-enter, initialize RC, and then alt-enter back into FSX.Usually it works great, but sometimes cause things like my taxi-way gauge to dissapear, or the GPS to load off-screen.Is there any better way to load it up? I tried hitting 'Start RC' before loading into my plane in FSX, but usually then the RC4 window doesnt appear, or is blank. Thanks guys!
February 25, 201214 yr Moderator 1) Load FSX in windowed mode.2) Position your aircraft at the gate.3) Load weather and make sure it's reflected in FSX.4) Launch RC and load plan. Make any changes to options etc then press Start RC and then minimise.5) Switch FSX to full-screen mode. Edited February 25, 201214 yr by Ray Proudfoot Ray (Cheshire, England). February 25, 201214 yr Author Ok, thanks... so its like I am already doing.Sucks though, really wish RC had an in-game menu item like so many others do.Would allow us to do everything while in-gameCheers
February 25, 201214 yr You can load your FP and set your options in RC before FSX if you want to but your can't press the START button until FSX is running with a loaded flight at the gate. Then you start your weather and after it updates FSX and stabilizes do an ai refresh to speed things up. Then all you need to do is alt-tab to switch to RC and press the START button. You do not need to be in windowed mode to use alt-tab to switch between running applications. If you are using a complex aircraft you can use the time while setting up the FMC and letting AI and weather stabilize and then alt-tab to RC to START it.
