How high TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=???

Featured Replies

The default value of TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT is 60 I believe, and I have seen tips suggesting that 400 is a good value if you have the right configuration. If I understand what I have read, this helps control how fast textures are fed to your video card. How high can you set this value?I have tried as high as 1200 and do not see much difference over 200, 400, etc.I would appreciate some guidance on this. Thanks.

My only experience is that if set it too high I get micro-pauses (or stutters). I'm running a 3.0Gig with a RADEON 9700 Pro and using 400 now. I had been using 800 and the reduction eliminated micro-pauses for me.Good luck. Joe LorencVice President, Carolina Operations, VN7 Networkhttp://www.vn7network.com/
