March 12, 200422 yr I am so bummed. About a month ago, due to my incessant tweaking, somehow someway I ended up corrupting my install of FS9 that had been running non-stop since the day of its release. All the FSGenesis mesh, all the aircraft, everything was reinstalled, and worked perfectly. One month later, something else is causing the awful FS2004 shut down message, with the send error report & restart options. I added the PSS Dash 8 and Alaska mesh, is about all that I can think of in the recent past. I guess I could delete those, but geez I'm not flying in Alaska, and the crashes are happening with more than one aircraft, and NO Dash 8 at the time.Anyone have a clue where I could start, short of a reinstall again? Takes quite a while to install all this stuff :((.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. March 12, 200422 yr Why don't you try deleting the Alaska mesh from the Scenery.cfg file via the scenery library option and moving that file out of addon scenery ( or wherever you have it) into an temporary folder and see if that in fact is the problem. That may give you a starting point and if that isn't the answer, try removing one thing at a time until you can identify the problem ( hopefully).Good luck,Ed GreenKCLT
March 12, 200422 yr Ed's suggestion is a good one. Try it. And I was wondering if you've tried deleting the FS9.cfg file and letting a new one get built? Btw, any useful information in the error message if you click on 'detailed info'(or something like that)?I have a LOT of addons. I have also tweaked and added repaints to an incredible number of aircraft I have installed. So I certainly know of the time that can be spent just installing and tweaking. I hate the thought of having to re-install all my stuff if I had to.Good Luck,Jim
March 14, 200422 yr Try deleting your saved flights. Sometimes adding a new aircraft or updating an installed aircraft can screw things up when using a default flight that was originally created with another aircraft. Then make a new new default flight with the cessna and switch to the desired aircraft, airport etc. If this works you can start saving new default flights. Any time I install a new or updated aircraft that's what I do...sg
