February 26, 201214 yr Does anyone use multiple monitors with different resolutions on each?Would running different resolutions cause a performance hit of any sort?I'm just curious because I have two 22" monitors but one runs 1920 X 1080 and the other one is 1680 X 1050.I typically fly the PMDG 747 and the 1680 X 1050 monitor is where I put the overhead, lower EICAS and FMC panels. The 1920 X 1080 monitor is where I have everything else, be it the 2D cockpit panel or the VC and it's where I switch views. My performance is alright, I'm just wondering if it would be better if I had two 1920 X 1080 monitors. Thanks! February 26, 201214 yr Commercial Member As your graphics card would have to render more pixels, it will be the opposite if you upgrade, you're performance will drop. I'm currently running a 22" and a 24" with the same resolution as yourself. I am about to buy another of the 24" ones, purely for more real estate, but am expecting a performance drop and am therefore looking to upgrade to a GTX570 or GTX580. As you're on a GTX480, I think you'd be fine upgrading to another 1920x1080 if you wanted to, but you should expect a little performance hit.
