March 14, 200422 yr So how do you land a Lear 45 when you cannot see the runway out the window and if the runway has no ILS it gets worse, so what pitchangel do you land at??? using Virtual Cockpit. It has a very high dash or the pilot is seating very low.
March 14, 200422 yr Use shift enter keys to move seat position in either 2D or VC cockpit. You can always go for the W key too, which gets rid of the panel altogether. In VC mode, I also use the zoom at around 70% or less. L.Adamson
March 17, 200422 yr I personally like the "W" option as I can still watch my airspeed, and other instruments while landing. I have also gotten used to being able to judge the "flare" from this view and still have visibility of the runway. Not the most realistic way but when you need it, it is there.

I press a button on my joystick & the panel becomes transparent. You can easily see all the gauges, but the runway too. I liked the transparent gauges in Microsoft's CFS3, but thats about the only thing in the sim. I wish MS would use these instead of the solid ones, when using the "W" key. L.Adamson

Well, if you like the "transparent panel" so much, why haven't you made one?You do know that you can create a "custom mini-panel" for each aircraft, right? Why not simply take the background image of the 2d panel and reduce the opacity of it, and program your own "minipanel view" to be used with the "W" key? Fr. March 20, 200422 yr How do you reduce the opacity of a panel? I've made a few custom minipanels using gauges imported from various aircraft, but making them transluscent would be OUTSTANDING!!! Please tell us how to do it!!!SWA Guy
March 20, 200422 yr I simple align my self on the runway and use my side windows and guages. I use the side windows to see how high I and I usually say to my self "Ok so when i pass that building its time 2 touch down" and when i see that buiding or tree. etc I touch down using my intruments. It works for me.
