Wrong system time and sessions !

Featured Replies

I've no idea what happened, I didn't change anything. I just run FSX, and noticed it shows wrong date. 04/03/2012, 14:53 instead of 03/03/2012 21:15. I checked General settings, and use system time for free flight is checked. Then I saw, not only day and time is wrong, session is wrong as well. Weird thing is, it shows the month March, but session is Summer. :( If I select August, then it shows Winter.Guys, have you got any idea how I fix this ?Warm Regards

Go to your Windows clock at the right end of the ToolBar, open it, click "Change Time and date Settings..", select "Internet time", "Change Settings", and put a check-mark in the "Synchronize with an Internet Time Server", then click "Update now".Done. :(

The issue persists. It happens when I change the airport on free flight window. FSUIPC time sync is not enabled. I use AS2012, but this also happens when AS2012 isn't running. I deleted all saved flights. Any idea please ?

Solved. It is something related to Orbx sceneries. Cheers.

Can you tell us the problem? Maybe the scenery bit had to do with texture changes from ORBX? I've been spending a lot of time looking at time setting in FSX and would like to know what fixed it for you.scott s..

First I did what PJ advised.

Go to your Windows clock at the right end of the ToolBar, open it, click "Change Time and date Settings..", select "Internet time", "Change Settings", and put a check-mark in the "Synchronize with an Internet Time Server", then click "Update now".Done. :(
Then dowload FS Real Time and installed it, to correct time zones on FSX computer. You don't need to use it, but if you install it which is a little software, it will update FSX time zones. However, the main problem I realised later, was not actually a problem. I was choosing an Australia location, so see seasons reversed (winter on august, summer on march). This caused by Orbx AU scenery, because in Australia seasons are reversed as it is in south hemisphere. Therefore it was normal seeing summer on march in time and date settings. I tried other locations where I know, and all seasons were correct.Hope this helps.

OK thanks. I am updating the timezones for FSX so any known problems with time are interesting to me. I've found some strange things in the default timezone.bgl file that I am trying to confirm.scott s..
