March 4, 201214 yr I play a rc flight simulator called Phoenix RC. It has USB cable that plugs into my Spektrum DX6i radio controller so that I can play the game using a real radio transmitter.I was wondering if there was a way to make my DX6i with usb cable work in MS Flight. I want to be able to do at least the aileron, rudder, throttle, and elevator. Edited March 4, 201214 yr by plaz
March 4, 201214 yr Moderator I wouldn't have a clue. Does it have a USB driver that must be installed to allow the axes to be seen? Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
March 4, 201214 yr I haven't tried it myself, but I would fully expect it to work. I use something similar to time I Fotaba 9C to a computer for use in a RC simulator. The controller is recognised by Windows as a regular joystick and it will therefore be possible to map it to Flight. Check your game controller settings in the Control Panel when you have plugged your controlling and see whether it is available. If it is displayed as some kind of joystick you should be fine. Otherwise there are other simple USB dongles you could buy for any controller that emulates a joystick in Windows. Frank Olaf Sem-Jacobsen
March 4, 201214 yr Author It doesnt show up as a game controller. Just as an unspecified device. I havent found an software to make the controller act as a game controller. I suppose I could try a different USB dongle.
