March 4, 201214 yr Multiplayer in Flight is so easy and even if you are a little shy like me you should try it because it adds a lot to the Flight experience. But, there are different options and perhaps it is best to go through them for the benefit of all.First, users will have different airplanes and if you don't own it or have it in your hangar, you will not see their airplane. Instead, a silver arrow is displayed - people are calling it a UFO. The Games for Windows Live (GWFL) Marketplace offers free Previews of the Maule and the Mustang. In truth, they are the complete plane but without a license. You can get them and they will show in your hangar, but more importantly when in Multiplayer you will see the correct airplane instead of the UFO. If you decide to buy the aircraft later, you will only have to download the license, so you may as well get the free Previews. Also, there is an Achievement, I believe, linked to the Previews and they might lead to something in the future. Please note that the RV is part of a bundled pack and there is no Preview for it. Too bad.Multiplayer has 3 different types of sessions: Private, Public, Friends Only.1. Private - When you want to fly alone, perhaps because you are doing some tricky approach or flying through a ravine and don't want to have anybody around to see you crash  then you might want to choose a Private session. However, you can still invite other players to join you - you must go to the Live Panel (the "Home" key), select a player, and send him an invitation to join your session.2. Public - Either you can click on Quick Match and find a session to join without needing an invitation, or you can go flying and others can join your session. As the session host, you choose the Weather Conditions and the time of day.3. Friends Only - this is not really friends only, because you can still click on Quick Match and join another Public session, and you can also go to the Live Panel, select a player who is not a Friend, and invite him to join your session. However, it you want to fly in a session hosted by your Friend, then you must go to the Live Panel, see if the Friend is online, select him and choose Join Session from the options on the right. And vice versa if you are hosting a Friends Only, your Friends can join your session through the Live Panel without the need for an invitation. If you are flying with people and you get along, or if you meet somebody on the Avsim forum that you like, by all means exchange your gamertags and become Friends. Your Multiplayer flights will be all the more enjoyable,Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
March 5, 201214 yr Would be great to find more people that enjoy doing the jobs and flying. Not coming on and just trying to smash into you.I think the main key for me is seeing other planes in the skies doing their own thing. Or coming into an airport and the runway is already in use.
March 5, 201214 yr Heh yeah.. you can trust some guys who will always want to smash things up.. My game is always set to public, would be fun to have more people flying around, and the occasional chatter is always nice..
March 5, 201214 yr 2. Public - Either you can click on Quick Match and find a session to join without needing an invitation, or you can go flying and others can join your session. As the session host, you choose the Weather Conditions and the time of day.And as the host you have the ability to expel any unruly participants. I exercised that ability a couple of times last Friday night.Later in the evening I was working my way from the south side of The Big Island towards Upolu at the north end. Most everyone else in the session (there were 15 total) were around Hilo Intl. I mentioned in the chat box that I was headed north if any one wanted to tag along. Looked back a little while later and had about 8 planes behind me. Kinda cool! And when we got up to Uplou everyone took the proper turn landing and taxing over by the building. Grabbed a nice screen shot to cap a nice evening.Still waiting to catch up with Luis in MP. Keep an eye out for SliestSole1 and if I'm in the Vans I'll try my inverted skills, because you know I just a little wacky...
March 5, 201214 yr Holguinerito its my ID feel free to add me . It is a bit hard to keep up with 2 things .1 the younger pilots Beautyfull lenguage.Im only 31 and thank god my mind has a modern way of looking at things, i Also have two boys so i can understand the way they act sometimes nowadays a bit.2 the kamikaze pilots /player . YES i play the chase during beta a few times and it was fun for a minute or so but that was it . Imagine trying to do a job on multiplayer just to see other pilots around and when you line up on final you get knock out ?????????? Well it occurs to me that MS had a idea of trying at first to replace the AI aircraft life with a real humman in every plane in the sky of Flight and that i think its a good staring point . But since we are not getting a similar experience to Vatsim this time . I think there needs to be some kind of training to educate those new pilots/users ... I Keep saying Users . i think ill watch TRON LEGACY later tonite :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: ... Edited March 5, 201214 yr by rtodepart Image removed as image is no longer available.
