Changing resolution issue

Featured Replies

I just bought an Acer LED S200HL with max resolution of 1600x900. The problem is at this resolution I loose fps in FSX on sig rig, so I tried lowering the LED resolution to 1440x1050 but it does not allow. And if I set 1440x1050 in FSX I get a blank screen when after loading a flight. Should manually force the resolution in CCC ?

You really want , and need, to run at your monitor's native resolution. I cannot state why you are getting the behaviour you are, but I doubt you would be as pleased with the results if you did not run at your monitor's native resolution. While FSX really loves the Intel cpu's, yours does not appear to be a slouch if it is running at 4 ghz. Not sure I see your video card listed though, sounds like you have an ATI since you mention the CCC.I run FSX on a 24" wide screen led Samsung, at 1920x1080 resolution, and in addition I have another monitor hooked up as well, 22" lcd, running at 1600x1050.My cpu is running at 4.1 ghz, and I get very acceptable framerates, and very smooth performance out of FSX.Is your performance at the native resolution , unaccetable? Have you tried any of the various tweaks found throughout this forum to try and achieve better performance? If I was in your shoes, my goal would be to try and get the performance up while keeping the monitor's native resolution...

I have a low end htpc card a HD 5450 1 GB which is not a gaming card but I still pull decent fps @1280x1024 on it, I am anyway changing the card to a 6670 or a 6750. Yes the performance at native 1600x900 is not good, I have all the tweaks
