GPU driver updates.
I tend to update my Nvidia drivers fairly soon after released ( whql). Can't say I see much difference with each update, I suspect if I had gone like a year or longer between updates, I might see a performance boost. I like to stay current with all my drivers, so I do it on a regular basis.

inflight map drives me nuts!
You might have a look at this tutorial for using GMap . http://forum.avsim.net/tutorials/article/72-how-to-use-gmap-as-a-popup-within-flight-full-screen-on-one-monitor/ I use this method and display GMap on my second monitor and it works great as well.

AOTD for 4/5/13 - Jack Wade Gold Dredge
Lol, this one I was researching on the net trying to plan my flight path by using google maps , I was having a hard time finding a map view of where it should be - figured what the heck and loaded up the flight, to find the aerocache sensor already showing whilst I was on the runway at Chicken... Needless to say, this one didn't take much effort, fun with nice scenery though:

AOTD for 4/2/13 #2 - Haleakala Sunrise
Well dang, I missed this one. Had a few minutes early this morning before I had to head out, started Flight but got an error " games for windows live has stopped responding", or something to that effect. Tried it again with same result, and I just had no more time. Not sure what was going on with that, first time I have seen that happen. I'll try the new Iditarod tomorrow and see if everything is ok...

BlueSphere ENB for Flight
This would not work for me then, I use a two monitor setup running Flight in windows mode so I have access to my second monitor, where I put GMap and other things. Looks nice though.

Well this is interesting, while I love Flight and it's graphics for the most part, I have always thought it was just a little on the dark side, looks like this brightens things up a bit. I may have to give this a try, thanks for sharing!

New to AVsim!
+1 to this. I highly recommend folks use the checklist at least a few times for each aircraft, not only is it a learning experience for each individual plane, it adds something to the flight as well and I found them fun to do. I don't use them every flight any more, but especially for newer folks to the sim, it is a great learning tool... Welcome to the forums young tubgoatz, I hope you stick around a while! Have fun,

Jobs board question
Welcome to the forums Eric! I hope you stick around a while and continue to participate in this great community! I think you already go your questions answered - I have had many hours of fun flying jobs, they are a blast, and have a sense of accomplishing something when you do them. As Steve mentioned, if you have not be sure and check out some of the clandestine jobs when you run across them. They can be hard to find at times. Adds a little excitement in that there is a possibility of getting busted by the cops and not being able to finish the job. They also are usually worth some good XP points as well.

Welcome to flight simming and this great forum! Always good to see new blood coming into the hobby, I cannot personally help on this, VOR is something I keep meaning to learn in Flight, however have a read here - it is an excellent tutorial on VOR in Flight from what I understand. http://forum.avsim.net/tutorials/article/75-complete-vor-tutorial/ This is in the Flight Early Tutorials, in the Tutorial section here on Avsim. There is a wealth of other great information tucked away in there as well. I hope this helps,

AOTD for 3/28/13 - Iditarod 15 - Grayling
Decided to take the Alaska Wildlife Cub out for this one. Not a difficult one, just follow the river north to Grayling. Might have been fun to take the Icon on the water as a boat for this one as well. Leaving Anvik Airport: There you are my little pretty! Decided to land here at Grayling and taxi up to this one. Gotta watch the trees! Another successful AOTD run.

Well I was actually able to collect two aerocaches on this one, as I have only started doing these in the last month or so, I did not have the original one here either, one was with the apostrophe and one was without. Took me a couple of tries, no one said it would be easy...

Scenery global
Well certainly there are a few of us, still having fun with Hawaii and Alaska. A lot of territory there to cover, and lots of nice scenery to see. I myself have logged over 200 hours in Flight and still find new stuff to do. Early on I did missions, then challenges, then I did jobs for quite a while, heck just recently I started doing the aerocaches - so I am enjoying a whole new aspect for me. Not only are they fun, but informative as well. I like taking the time to do the research and plan my flight to get me to them. And I have not even begun to learn VOR flying with it yet, and have been meaning to do that for some time. And now thanks to Stonelance for his add on manager program, we have some talented folks here creating some new liveries for our planes, adding some nice variety. As far as MS, they have shelved future development for Flight, but certainly have not deleted it. If they had, we would not be able to connect to the MS server for Flight and they certainly would not be providing new aerocaches as they have been. Who knows if there will come a time in the future, that MS decides to resume production in Flight - some of us are very hopeful, but only time will tell. In the meantime, I suspect there will be several that will still continue to enjoy Flight, for what it does offer us.

GMap's Airplane Icon - orientation
Well I flew three more flights this morning, grabbing some permanent aerocaches I previously did not have. Each flight, the GMap aircraft icon was oriented properly. So for me, since grabbing the August re-release of GMap for Flight, it appears to have solved this issue. I was previously running the July release. Perhaps temporary I don't know, but so far so good.

GMap's Airplane Icon - orientation
Ok so this morning in doing the AOTD, I ran the Aug release of GMap for the first time, I had previously had the July release. While I had GMap displayed on my second monitor, I did not click on the connect button until after I was sitting on the runway getting ready to take off. For this flight, the orientation icon displayed correctly. Course it might have been the day of the week - or the orientation of the stars this morning - or the fact I was on my third cup of coffee lol. I will continue to do it like this, and see if it continues to display appropriately. DreadMetis - I don't think there is a way to do that in full screen, I myself use I guess what would be referred to as pseudo full screen by using autohotkey, but I really prefer it that way now as it frees up my second monitor for other things as well, while running Flight.

AOTD for 3/22/13 - Okmok Caldera
I love doing these in the early mornings with my coffee. Ok so as I sat on the runway at Nikolski, I looked around and thought - man, not much to see, going to be a boring flight. I was certainly wrong, it quickly turned into a nice scenic flight. Took me about 25-30 min in the Avsim Cubby to get to the aerocache, but I sure enjoyed the scenery on the way there: Decided to turn and set her down in the Mount, after collecting the aerocache- that stream looked like some nice clean water and I was getting rather thirsty:
