  1. Has anyone been able to contact the site's author yet? I can't live without Bojote's tool, it really does miracles on my system!
  2. I'm glad it's working for you now. Enjoy!!
  3. I have read several posts on the matter. Make sure you're on fullscreen, run Flight as administrator, some people forget to place d3d9.dll in the directory. Your video card should support shader model 3, change the useEffect value to "true" in the GLOBAL section. Just in case, you should post a screenshot of your Flight directory so I can have a look at it. I can't think of any other reason why it shouldn't work. Have in mind that this mod doesn't work on all systems. There can be several other reasons why this may not work like drivers, OS, hardware can all play into the result. Also, it seems that some users with old cards/specs have problems running ENB. Make sure your drivers are updated. Best of luck!
  4. Did you ever restart Flight after copying the files?
  5. In either version, these files should be placed in the same directory where the flight.exe is located. I think it's the path you mentioned. Don't worry, you're not missing anything. The config settings file is called enbseries.ini. They are the same thing. So in the folder the three files are d3d9.dll, enbpalette.bmp, and enbseries.ini (the config settings file). Try this: Alt+tab to the desktop and return to the game. You might have to do this more than once until it works. You should see a text in the top left of the screen. It indicates that ENB is functioning. Make sure you're not running with dual monitors. I think ENB is not compatible with this setup. Have you tried Shift-F12? If still it doesn't work try with Jeroen's more subtle configuration here: http://forum.avsim.n...enb-for-flight/ Remove the palette and see if it helps. Or else, test with Jeroen's ENB to make sure the problem is not withing this bluesphere configuration. I couldn't imagine any reason for why you're experiencing a large white box. Can you provide a screenshot?
  6. It's a nice addition for Flight, I would highly recommend you give it a try  I can't be without it now! (made a mistake. Sorry for double posting...)
  7. Usually at first it doesn't work for me either until you alt+tab to the desktop and return to the game. You might have to do this more than once until it works. Also, make sure the three ENB files are placed under the main Flight directory under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Microsoft Flight
  8. Nice work Devon!!
  9. Waimea Canyon looks incredible in Flight. Definitely my favorite spot
  10. Sorry for that. I did not put the file in the public folder. Try this link now: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17494176/BlueSphereENB_FLIGHT.zip
  11. BlueSphere is by far my favorite ENB setting. It was created by Tim from Real Environment Extreme, a weather and environmental upgrade for FSX which many of you are probably already familiar with. For me this ENB is a must because it adds such beautiful colors and brightness that make Flight or FSX look pale without it. Shadows also look deeper. I invite anyone who's interested to try this out. I was amazed by how everything looked a lot more 'alive'. I've made just a few minor changes like the value of color saturation (original value is -4). Other than that, it's all his work. Here's the link for downloading:https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbjtbn32sg32f78/BlueSphereENB_FLIGHT.zip. To make it work, simply paste the three files inside the main Flight folder and press Shift+F12 to activate it. If it doesn't work, Alt+Tab to the desktop and then go back to the game (more than once if necessary). For more information see this topic from Jeroen: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/380614-enb-for-flight/ A few images from Flight. The top picture is Flight with ENB disabled and the bottom one with it enabled. Some more... Also, if you set usePaletteTexture=0 in the color correction section, the night will become a lot darker. I tried an ILS approach with the RV with stormy weather with almost 0 visibility at night. I have to say it was quite a challenge but very fun!! ENB disabled, then enabled at night: Let me know what you think!
  12. I haven't been back to Flight since development was cancelled. But I'm glad to return to see many of the same folks around here. I reinstalled Flight in my computer and now I'm ready to roll again! I tried to follow my own instructions on how to enable the auto rudder in my joystick but got a bit messed up during the process. So I re wrote it to make it simpler. "I really enjoy playing Microsoft Flight with my old Sidewinder Joystick which only has X and Y axis. The problem with this, as some of you may know, is that you must press the A and D keys for rudder control that makes taxing in airports annoying. Now this really bothers me because I can't taxi using only my joystick as I did with FSX (auto rudder). So I found a way to go around this issue. The goal is to make Flight think that your Joystick is the mouse (because there is auto rudder when you fly with the mouse). Doing this will require simple changes in the standard.xml file which has all of the control configurations. I'll explain the procedure: " 1. Backup your standard.xml file. You can find it under C:\Users\youruser\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\SomeLettersAndNumbers\Career\Controls. 2. Now open the standard.xml file with Notepad and look for the following code and make the changes in bold: ... <MapName> NameOfYourJoystick{846A2670-2423-11E1-8001-444553540000}.{45AAD43A-A9BC-40E0-96BA-A3E3577BBE53} </MapName> <MapVersion>8</MapVersion> <Axis> <AxName>XAxis</AxName> <Index>0</Index> <EventName>FlightControls.AileronSetAxis</EventName> change this to FlightControls.MouseSetXAxis <AxScale>1.000000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.100000</AxNull> <NonLinear>True</NonLinear> </Axis> <Axis> <AxName>YAxis</AxName> <Index>1</Index> <EventName>FlightControls.ElevatorSetAxis</EventName> change this to FlightControls.MouseSetYAxis <AxScale>1.000000</AxScale> <AxNull>0.100000</AxNull> <NonLinear>True</NonLinear> </Axis> <Axis> ... Now save and start MS Flight. Now your joystick will work as if it were the mouse controller. Remember, I you want to revert, simply delete this file and replace it with your backup. That's all it takes. Now you have auto rudder and you can taxi through the runway with your joystick and fly!
  13. Does anyone think Google could make a Flight Simulator? Like "Google Flight"? I've tried Google Earth's flight simulator using my joystick. Though not nearly as entertaining as FLIGHT I did have some fun flying the F-16 over Indianapolis and New York (with 3D buildings enabled). Who knows, maybe Google will one day take advantage of their platform and give us a decent flight simulator. GEFS Online shows it's possible. Just a thought...
