MS Gold Dredge project revisited

Featured Replies

The first time we found a "Gold Dredge" in the Alaska Pack, we were impressed with the detail on it. By the time our user community found the 7th, 8th, and 9th dredge, it was obvious that MS had a collection project / mission / challenge in mind for these. According to my records, there were 15 named as AOTD's, with several noted as repeats. Quite confusing! Perhaps one of our beta testers has seen the list? Nome has quite a few, but after checking the AVSIM posts, the Steam posts, and the Aerocache.Net posts, no one says there are more than 3 close to Nome. So I was quite surprised the other day to find a 4th dredge just outside of Nome. (another Cub low and slow discovery)

It's quite possible that some of you have seen it before, so it's not an "aerocache quality find", but it should be added to the Gold Dredge list anyway. I don't know what it's name is, but its on Nome Council road, about a half mile SE of the edge of town. See the 4 images attached.

Congrats on finding another one!

You guys are way more observant than I am.

Seconded! I think I focus far too much on climbing out to 36,000+. I need to slow down and look at the cool stuff down low from time to time as well!
