March 7, 201214 yr Hello gents -First off: I'm REALLY impressed with linda! I rather hesitated picking it up because I had configured so much with macro's and lvars in fsuipc.I decided to pick it up nevertheless, and thus I am very impressed.Right, onto my very, very strange proglem: sometimes the commands don't "come through". I think this has to do when I push and hold a button (i.e. for push-to-talk or something). What happens is I hold a button, release it like all is well, but following that no commands get sent through? I can push any button I like, linda does nothing. Most of the time though, after a few minutes, all the buttons I pressed in the period that no commands were sent through, all come through in very quick succesion?Do any of you guys have any tips and/or suggestions?Any more details required can be provided.Cheers! March 7, 201214 yr Hello Lukas, thanks for the nice words.Yes, LINDA could "hickup" some times. One golden rule: do never too much things at once!Every LUA function is executed after each other. The most functions are very short, so that you can press another button immediately, but maybe if you dial forward and backward and forward, then, maybe, LINDA struggles a bit. Here it is very seldom anyway...And maybe Artem has better exlanations for it ...To cure it immediately is to shut down LINDA and restart the LINDA.exe! March 7, 201214 yr Author Hi Guenter,Thanks for the reply. Yes I understand LUA function's are executed after each other, which is perfectly understandable and normal. Do LUA functions "exist" when there is nothing bound to the button which is "spammed" (for lack of a better word)?I should explain better:I have 4 possible "spam" buttons. 2 for PTT (trigger and mic switch push (tm warthog)), and 2 buttons at the end of the reverse axis (saitek throttle quadrant, axis 2&3).Maybe it's my specific to my setup, but I'm experiencing it quite frequently (i.e. at least once a flight (ngx)).On your "immediate" solution: I thought linda had to run constantly when FSX is running? Thanks again for helping. March 7, 201214 yr Sorry, I do not understand this "spam" thing ...? On your "immediate" solution: I thought linda had to run constantly when FSX is running?jep, you will see, that nothing will work, if LINDA is closed or not running. But you can restart it, of course .... March 8, 201214 yr Author Sorry, I do not understand this "spam" thing ...?jep, you will see, that nothing will work, if LINDA is closed or not running. But you can restart it, of course ....Disregard the spamming part :D Just my crazy chain-of-thought...Regarding closing LINDA: if I shut if down, and restart it, does it work? Or do I need to restart FSX as well? Thanks again for helping G! :)*BTW: You may know me by MTFDarkEagle on the A2A forum :) Lukas "TIN TIN -=9th Shrek=-" Mathijsen
March 8, 201214 yr Ah, yes of course I know you, "Eagle" ... Regarding closing LINDA: if I shut if down, and restart it, does it work? Or do I need to restart FSX as well?no, of course no restart of FSX ...You can first try "reload lua engne" from the settings page, if this doesn't help, shut down and restart LINDA completely. Takes only a few seconds ... March 9, 201214 yr Author You can first try "reload lua engne" from the settings page, if this doesn't help, shut down and restart LINDA completely. Takes only a few seconds ...Ah ok thanks :) That will do than I suppose. The reload lua engine does not always work. Sometimes it "speeds up" the resync process, but not always.Thank you for the suggestions, and good flying! :( Lukas "TIN TIN -=9th Shrek=-" Mathijsen
