FSDT Addon manager

Featured Replies

HiI know I should probably post this on FSDT forums but just tried to register and they need time to approve me or something.Any way my question is I was wondering if anyone could helpI just opened up Coualti FSDT addon manager and noticed that over to the right it says FSX tweaks and lists a bunch of tweaks. So my quesiotns is...1) Is addon manager displaying tweaks I have put in or2) Is addon manager putting tweaks in my FSX config with out me knowing?I think it is 1) but I am doubting this becuase the addon manager lists poolsize 5 mb and usepools = 0.I do use usepools = 0 but, I do not wish to use poolsize 5mb. Also my texture max load is not 27 so all in all I am confused what addon manager is doing exactly?I hate the thought that is is tweaking my fsx.cfg without me knowing. Especially if it setting a poolsize when what I want is usepools=0ThanksKeithy

The question was already answered here:http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=5121.msg47262#msg47262the activation of your forum registration is not needed to look at other posts, only to post messages. In any case, to reply to your question, the Addon Manager doesn't change ANYTHING without your knowing. The tweak displayed there are either settings you *already* had in your FSX.CFG or settings with a default value if you didn't had that tweak to begin with. But, it's a display-only setting, until you press the "Save to FSX" button.Only if you press the Save to FSX button, all the settings you see at that moment will be really saved into the FSX.CFG. You can even play with sliders, but nothing will happen until you press the "Save to FSX" button.
