Gunsite crosshairs in center of screen -- how delete?

I have the crosshairs overlay on both cockpit and outside views, and it's distracting and in the way. Can it be removed? Thanks.John

that's all well and good, but how to hide them when flying with the mouse?

You can't as far as I know. That is the display for the mouse control of the aircraft. The only way to lose it and fly is with a controller rather than the mouse.

If you turn the HUD off in Options > GamePlay, you can control with the mouse without the crosshairs.

I have just suggested on the beta forum that they should make this known in the TEXT where you turn on/off the HUD.Most people are not aware of this !Fred.
