March 24, 200422 yr Quick questions, exactly where do land class files go? Should you have a folder for all of them? I've put some of mine in addon scenery/scenery. Is this ok? Do you have to go thru the add scenery steps? Thanks,Mike
March 24, 200422 yr No that's not ok...There should not be a Texture folder in the same path as the Scenery folder that contains landclass. Create a separate folder and call it landclass or something similar. Then create a Scenery folder in there and put all your landclass files in there. DO NOT create a texture subfolder. Then add via the Scenery Library. You can also create separate landclass folders based on geography or author if you want. Also when you add it to the scenery library you will want to move the priority down very low, perhaps to just above all the 'default scenery' item. The other thing you can do is just to throw all the landclass files in the Flight Simulator 9SceneryBASEScenery folder. There is no texture folder associated with BASE and you also would not have to fool with the scenery library. I don't do this myself though because I don't like throwing stuff in the default folders.Hope that helps
March 25, 200422 yr This is an interesting post re landclass. Can I ask, in all sincerity, where does this sort of information come from? Is it documented somewhere or learned by trial and error, or what. I'm amazed at the knowledge that's shown in this forum and often wonder about it's source. Or to put it another way, how come you know and I don't :)Thanksbf
