March 11, 201214 yr So, I'm new to the MS Flight. Old pc gamer though. My FPS in this game is perfect. I run it on high graphics. I get easily 45fps+BUT, every minute or so, in-game or in-menu, its like the game slams on its brakes 3-5 times in a row, then continues as normal. It's so strange! I've never seen anything like it...I'm wondering since the game is new, that it might be a new launch problem or something... but i'm wondering if anyone else has come across this. It makes it very frustrating during more intense maneuvers. I love the game, still just f2p user, but wanting to buy the $20 add-on, but unwilling until they patch it up...Any workaround suggestions?Drivers are all updated on my end. Running on ATI 5770 HD.
March 11, 201214 yr I think that's commonly known as stuttering! In FSX, we lock our frame rates which usually solves the problem. But in FLIGHT we don't have that option. Happy Flying, Clem Wu Beta Tester for OZx, Iris Simulations and Shade.
March 11, 201214 yr I get the same, I think its related to the on-line function of the game as for me just after a stutter / pause the game states a new player has joined the game.

But in FLIGHT we don't have that option.I don't think you can compare MS Flight with FSX in this regard. Everyone has had stutters in FSX but not everyone (or should I say hardly anyone) has them in MS Flight.Maybe it has indeed something to do with someone joining an online session but 1. drewman didn't say if he flies online (I never do: I wonder if everyone knows you don't HAVE to fly online...?) and 2. the stutters drewman has are too regular (every minute or so).First thing to check is background activity: a virus scanner maybe?
March 11, 201214 yr I get the exact same problem, One minute it's running fine at about 30-35fps then the next it's dropping down to about 7fps and then a few seconds later it's back to normal again?Very Strange.
March 11, 201214 yr Author Just so everyone knows! This fellow's suggestion worked perfectly!! No more stuttering!!http://forum.avsim.net/topic/363991-terrible-stuttering-unless-moving-map-is-enabled/
