You really do need good visuals departing ZQN, furthermore, he had a choice of either not departing, and staying the night at the hotel, or taking a huge gamble and taking off. Bet he wished he did the latter. Normally the warning is triggered at about 40 degrees bank, but the limit reduces rapidly at low radio altitudes.
