March 27, 200422 yr Anybody know how to do this correctly? I have the NYC_objects package added at a higher priority than Aerosoft's Manhattan. This replaces the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building like I wanted but it also changes the Metlife building which I didn't. Also the Metlife building is now in the middle of a smaller building. On the Aerosoft forums somebody had a screenshot of the two sceneries meshed perfectly but he didn't give any details on how he accomplished this feat beyond saying adding it at a higher priority. I have asked this question there too but I though maybe somebody here has gotten it to work. Thanks
March 27, 200422 yr I had mine the opposite way(Manhattan higher than NYC Objects) and I had two Empire State buildings sitting next to each other so I removed NYC Objects and lost the better looking one. I didn't check the Chrysler or Metlife buildings so I can't tell you if they were the same. I hope the author of NYC Objects makes an update to match the Manhattan Scenery. maxsdad
March 27, 200422 yr Well it was pretty obvious you have to have the NYC_objects at a higher priority because Aerosoft Manhanttan uses the defaults buildings and that package excludes the defaults. I just don't want it to exclude Aerosoft's Metlife building with the helipad. Somebody has done it because I have seen the screenshot, I just don't know how.
March 27, 200422 yr Hi!NYC_Objects 'Art Deco' Ver. 2.0 is not compatible with Manhattan scenery from Aerosoft. I guess the next version will work but I don't know when I'll have time to do it.Tatu
March 27, 200422 yr Thanks for the reply. That's what I was begining to think...IE that the person who posted the screenshot must have been using an earlier version. Now if only I could find that earlier version :)
March 28, 200422 yr I just read your post and I checked the readme for NYC ver2 and you are correct. He did add the Metlife building in that version so NYC ver 1 should work. I will try ver 1 tomorrow and make NYC a higher priority. than Manhattan. maxsdad
March 29, 200422 yr Hi!So many people were asking for this fix so I have uploaded a combatibility patch for Aerosoft Manhattan owners if they want to use my Art Deco objects ver. 2.0 to replace the default buildings. Also the new objects are uploaded which includes World Trade Center and World Financial Center. Should be available when the Library is updated. Read the Installation instructions for the patch fix, especially if you are installing in the same folder as the "NYC Objects Modern" scenery. In some systems the scenery.dat file must be deleted from the NYC_Objects folder and let the FS create a new one. I suggest everyone to do this.Enjoy! :-)Tatu
March 29, 200422 yr Cool....And right on the heels of my tracking down your first version which seems to work ok hehehehehe :) But now I will try the 2.0 version with the patch. Thanks
March 30, 200422 yr Author Thank you Tatu for the patch.I have also added back the old FS2002 offering of the WTC. I am somewhat erratic on this, but seem to inevitalbly add them back into my scenery. Don't know which commemorates their loss best, but I somehow feel good in seeing them rebuilt as they were originally.Great scenery Tatu: Thank you again:RTH
