I have just loaded FS9 for the first time, and I have a couple of queeries that someone out there may be able to help me with. Firstly is there a zip that allows you to take the disc out when running FS9. Secondly, each time I try to access the desktop, by changing the view size the system crashes. Is there a way around this please.

There is a patch out there to eliminate the CD requirement, suggest you search for it on the Internet.To get out of FS9 and get to the desktop, I use the alt-tab key combination. My FS9 screen is 1280x960 and my desktop is 1024x768, but that does not seem to cause a problem..
