March 20, 201214 yr Sorry if this has been dealt with before, I tried searching with words such as those in my subject line.I have just in the last day or so noticed when I am flying any of my airccraft (both default and add-on jets, mostly) there is a plume of white vapor about 100 or 200 feet below the aircraft, starting right about halfway from he nose back, and pluming out behind as we fly along. If I pause and then reload the aircraft and un-pause, it seems to go away. What the heck???Flying FSX Acceleration on an older Dell XPS 410, Q6600 proc @ 2.6 Ghz, 4G Ram GTX240 under Vista SP2.I'm pretty sure this just started in the last few days, orI would have noticed this sooner. March 20, 201214 yr It is one of the quirks of FSx. Most probablt you flying in hard snow area or rainy condition and it is runway/snow spray engine wash effect that is shown like that. It is the way FSX has been coded to work.Funny you dont get anything as this subject has been beaten to death and discussed to in very depthYou can do something about it but then you wont have any runway/snow spray or engine wash sprayhttp://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/1572-remove-engine-snow-wash-effect-20-ft-below-plane/
March 20, 201214 yr Author I am flying with real world weather over the state of Illinois. We are having perfect, mild Spring weather with no snow or rain. It is in the 80's today. David Norman Paul
March 20, 201214 yr As I said, try google.. What you see is engine prop wash.use it loose it.It is not related to weather. It is related to the area you fly and if that area is coded as hard winter area you will see it irrespect of you actually seeing snow falling or rainy weather. It is hard coded into FSX.

(For this and the other forum :-) ) Got it fixed now. Just have to remember to put it back the way it was when it is more appropriate. David Norman Paul
