NGX and P3D Version 1.3

Recommended Posts

It's possible the OAT was unreasonably high - I don't even know if this is possible but were you running FSINN with P3D?

JM,

"Hi I've done the same copied the entries from my FSX dll.XML file and I have only the HUD one... Everything works except the HUD, Im wondering if I should copy all the entries posted above to make it work?"

Your dll.xml for P3D looks good to me.

The one for FSX: I would place FSUIPC before PMDG.

Anyway, how do you know the HUD is not working PMDG/P3D?

How are you selecting or testing? Do you have a screenshot for us to look at?

What is the path and folder for this file: PMDG_HUD_interface.dll (I want to verify you have it).

Hello Vaughan,

Same flight again - but without AS2012. I've used the internal P3D "Fair Weather" theme - everything worked fine now.

More infos perhaps tomorrow.

Patric

This is what I see with PMDG-P3D-AS2012 (KDTW-KJFK today.

Hello Vaughan,

thanks for your screenshot. I'll check this later. But I think it isn't a problem of PMDG or FMC settings in P3D because I did exactly every step as I did in FSX. The result is: In FSX it's working correctly in P3D it doesn't.

So I think it's a problem of AS2012 itself or some weather options of AS2012 are not working as they do in FSX. That's why can you please post your AS2012 weather settings?

Here are mine: (As you can see I'm using the Beta service pack 1 build 4448)

Patric,

I need a screenshot from you, of your front panel, like the one I did (above) for you, that show your problem when using P3D and PMDGNG.

Also do a screenshot of the P3D weather at the time of your problem .. like this, so I can see your "current" conditions:

Why is it so hard to get you to do screenshots showing the actual problem in the PMDG?

Hello Vaughan,

OK, I've made the flight in P3D again by using saved AS2012 weather data from yesterday - same problem.

And here are the screenshots and weather data from an altitiude of 20000ft:

Patric,

This is my climb profile (CLB-1 292) shot yesterday flight.

If you want to climb at speed 340 (CLB 340)... your nose will be lower and your rate will be lower.

I did not try to duplicate your problem .. I just went a flew a flight to see what was happening with P3D and a normal PMDGNG climb .. no special "tweeks" or whatever.

I looked on a chart and SAT at 20000 feet is -24C ... you screenshot shows 5C.

Are you using AS2012 real data during this test(s) or some old saved flight without AS2012 NOT currently running and updating weather at upper levels?

Hello Vaughan,

I've used "Automatic download" in AS2012. Yesterday I exported these data for further testing. On the flight today I've used the saved data from yesterday without automatic download.

No, do not use old Wx and saved flights to test P3D and AS2012 problem.

Who knows how P3D is using this data?

You cannot save a PMDG situation flight anyway ....

It all has to be real time to check your problem.

Go do a full flight from cold and dark with AS2012 running .. do a normal climb .. do screenshots. Check upperlevel winds at you cruise altitude in AS2012 reports prior to departure and verify all this during VNAV climb.

Well I remember that in FSX as long I select HUD on the at the aircraft option is, is always on once I lower it any time during flight but on P3D it seems to be tourn off!

By testing you mean that there is a botton for test if is working?

I'll post screenshot once I'm back home from university thanks

I still think this has to do with the air temperature not being correct.

If so what is the reason for this? - the weather engine (AS2012)

I've reinstalled AS2012 from scratch without BETA SP1 and with default settings. This evening I will try this flight again.

BTW: I don't use saved PMDG flights for testing.

So, nothing has changed after re-installation of AS2012. For the moment I don't want to do more tests.

Thanks for your efforts.
