March 26, 201214 yr Hi all,I'm mainly flying airline ops with AS2012, currently using DWC. I love the accuracy of the experience, but the dramatic and popping changes in weather visuals is distracting. I'd really like to see the weather "coming" if you know what I mean.Is it worth the time to experiment with the other weather modes? Is there a magic bullet setup that I should jump to?Thanks for the help in advance!!!-George
March 27, 201214 yr try ticking "prevent cloud redraws". Although it also has its issues, especially for depicting arrival weather. But that should do the trick, and you can keep DWC which is the best depiction available. March 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hi there,You may also want to try the latest beta update: B4469 (from http://support.hifitechinc.com) which includes a new option: Local Station Writes with DWC, which provides a bit of smoothing and variation (at the expense of occasional cloud clearing). DWC with Local Station Writes is very similar to depiction techniques used in our earlier product versions.Prevent Cloud Redraws does prevent the global cloud environment from changing once initially set (i.e. departure), so we recommend NOT using this option for realism/accuracy... although it does prevent the hard shifts as described.
