I have the co-pilot running the radios, on approach they will switch over to get the weather information. The verbal ATIS I hear and the written text (in green scrolling bar across the top of the screen) are always exactly switched.I.E. flying into KTPA the ATIS will SAY: landing and departing rwy 01L & 01R however the written text will read: landing and departing rwy 19L and 19R.Any tips?Thank you.

First, RC uses FSUIPC that has its own window, a transparent blue window with red or white text. I am not sure what is generating your green crawl unless you are using another utility. Your version of RC should be 3.3845. It should be running with Display text off in its options.Older versions of RC using older FSUIPC versions used a module called advdisplay.dll and unless needed should have the extension changed to .dlh to disable it.If you are on FSX using any of the ASE or AS2012 weather applications please see this thread:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/366734-rc4-pmdg-737ngx-as2012/Now insure that FSUIPC is updated from this link which has interim fixes and links to the full version installs:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/Then make sure makerwys.exe is current from this link:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/After your updates be sure to rebuild the RC scenery library.Check those two links regularly. If you are running the Showtext utility which is used for displaying FSUIPC information on a client computer to an FS hostthat could use the green line you are seeing to my knowledge. Also, on the FSUIPC General tab be sure multiline text is enabled.Backgound:In its original form on FSX ASE in order to use DWC via SimConnect needed to apply Global Weather meaning your aircraft location determines the same weather worldwide in FS. Therefore, the current weather at destination as reported was not what you would get upon reaching it and ai followed that weather pattern. Recent service packs for ASE and AS2012 plus FSUIPC updates enabled the reported METAR in AS to be used for the destination weather effects and correct ATIS for weather reports. There are also other settings in AS to lock the destination weather I think that can be used. I am not an FSX user so I really don't have much to contribute. This really goes back to SimConnect limitations and workarounds including FSUIPC4 for ASE and AS2012 optionally instead of just SimConnect seem to work for some. In those cases use FSUIPC for weather smoothing. This problem has been delved into frequently on the Hi-Fi Sim forums for AS products here on AVSIM so check there and check your latest documentation in AS.As far as departure ATIS in both FS9 and FSX it takes a while for them to catch up to the weather updates from weather applications. An ai refresh, available in AS if used, or in a paid registration for FSUIPC (ai toggle command), or just pushing the FS time a minute forward, will refresh ai which also causes a weather update refresh. I found that after a minute or so ATIS updates correctly because also now the ai have started over with the correct weather influence.Since the FSUIPC versions and makerwys versions are fixed in the RC distribution, it is wise to update from the links I supplied frequently as they are constantly improved.

I'm using REX 2.0 for my weather, what FSX seems to be doing is giving me the scrolling text from the default ATIS. Radar Contact reads the real-world ATIS and then assigns me the appropriate approach, it just seems like the default ATC is wrong with respect to the winds, and the scrolling text displays this.I'd like the default ATC ATIS to not show up at all since Radar Contact works so well. Is this possible? As far as my versions, I just purchased Radar Contact about 2 weeks ago so I assume I'm running the most up-to-date version. I also registered my FSUIPC about 2 weeks ago also, so it too should be the latest version.Thank you sir.

RG - You should be able to turn off the FSX ATC display. Check under FSX (based on my FS9) settings, Air Traffic Control and make sure show ATC text is not checked and auto-open ATC window is also not checked. Also insure REX-2 does not provide this.

Check the build version anyway as distributions especially the components for FSUIPC and makerwys are almost certainly not current.

Thank you sir.
