April 6, 200422 yr Hi All,I hope someone can help me with this.I am flying Yannick's superb Falcon 50 in FS9. I had no problems with the installation, except for one thing. When I'm in the 2D cockpit, and I look out of the side windows, I seem to be "transported" back into the passenger cabin. In other words, I can't see out to the right or left, which makes it pretty interesting when setting up for final.I tried a few things, like copying some of the bitmaps from the "light" panel.cfg, but no luck. I also tried searching the forums but no mention of this problemI also e-mailed Yannick a couple of times, but no reply.Incidentally, I had no problems when I was running FS2002.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Joe
April 6, 200422 yr It sounds from your description as though switching to side views is jumping you into virtual cockpit mode, which by default is set to the passenger cabin just behind the cockpit. If you can find the aircraft cfg in your falcon 50 folder, open it in notepad and edit (after first backing up)the line refering to VIEWS then find "eyepoint" beneath it. The first value relates to the longitudinal placement of the eyeview. increase this value (by a positve factor) about 3 feet and then reload the aircraft. You may have to make finer adjustments but I have a hunch this will fix the problem.I can't guarantee it though.Regards,Rob Young - co-designer Falcon 50 Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
April 6, 200422 yr RobHi! Just while we've got your attention .... has there been an official update of FS' finest bizjet for FS2004? Or if not, what's your own cut on what needs to be changed or modified, if anything, to fly her in FS2004?She's one I haven't brought across yet, awaiting the official word ... but maybe I missed it.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
April 6, 200422 yr Author Hi Rob,Thanks for your help. Your suggestion worked like a charm.I'm sorry that I failed to mention you in my orignal post. In creating the Falcon 50, you and Yannick have created the very best aircraft for flight sims, freeware or payware. And, I have been a big fan of yours ever since the V88's in Fly 1. Your air files feel so real that it is sometimes scary.Joe
